If you are coming from another pass manager...
you have to add all of your accounts, one by one? And how the database is synced in MP between devices? I like the concept, I just don't understand this mechanism completely. Thank you!

The main challenge here is going to be wrapping your head around the fact that the answer for both of these is: "you don't need to".
Traditionally, you need all of your existing accounts in your password manager, otherwise you cannot get into them.
With Master Password, your account passwords are there regardless of whether you have them added to the app or not; you can get them just by typing in their name.
Even if your apps are not in sync, only your iPhone has your twitter.com password but your Mac does not, all you need to do to get that password on your Mac is type "twitter.com" into your Mac app, and Master Password will give you your actual twitter.com password, same one as from your iPhone. There is therefore no need for any syncing (avoiding all the risks with sending your account data across Internet data centers).
If you are coming from a different manager, there may be a transition period; since you need to change each of your account's existing passwords to a high entropy Master Password generated password. Whether you do this all at once or just as the need arises, is up to you. You could just do the switch for your site the next time you need to get into it and notice, "oh, this one is still using an old password, let me switch it over to Master Password".

Thank you, Maarten. One more thing, as I understood, your new Spectre password is on its way? Does that mean that the MP project will be abandoned for future updates when Spectre goes out? Or these two would be compatible, in a way? Thanks again for the answer, I really like this concept!

You're welcome!
Spectre will replace Master Password, correct. The migration will be handled very smoothly and Spectre will work exactly like Master Password did, with the exact same passwords, preserving your sites, only adding several new capabilities.
Here if you have any further questions.

Hi Steve,
When you open Master Password with Spectre installed, a message should appear allowing you to migrate your user over to Spectre. It should look like the image attached.
Tapping the message will copy your user and all of its existing passwords over to Spectre. You can keep using Master Password as well, it will not be affected by the move.
If the message should not appear for some reason, you can also use Master Password's export feature to share your user with the Spectre app.
You might also try updating your Master Password app from the App Store if the message doesn't appear yet.
Let me know how it goes!
