Password type: 6-digit-PIN

More and more sites have a 6-digit-PIN set as default length (e.g. iPhone device PIN). Since MPW only calculates 4-digit pins, i usually put the iphone setting back to 4 digits so i could use mpw. But the degraded security also makes me uneasy.

You suggested in this 2014-post

that you have this planned. When can we expect it?

Best regards

    hello !

I have exactly the same problem !
French banks frequently ask 6 digits password, sometimes they ask 8 digit password ..
Some other websites ask for such passwords, as well as phone PIN ..

it would be so nice to be able to set how many digits does a PIN password have.

Except this, MP works very fine ! Great job,

Same issue. I have banks in France also which require 6 and 8 digit PINs.
This makes MasterPassword unusable for me at present, however I am truly attracted to the concept.
Do you plan to allow the length of the PIN to be defined by the user and, if so, by when?

In the mean time, you could just repeat the sequence to fill the missing digits.
For example, if the generated PIN is 1745 then you do 174517 for your 6-digit PIN.
Who would guess you're making your PIN's that way? ;)

Thanks picadeli, good suggestion! A full solution would be better though...
