There is no interaction between this program and the Android
version.

Some examples:

mpw

If you pass no options, the program will ask you everything it
needs to know step-by-step and use defaults for some values.

mpw -t max -c 3 apple.com

You can pass in options to change the password type and counter
values (and everything else, see the help).

Maarten Billemonttag:help.masterpassword.app,2014-09-03:Comment/392196112018-08-29T10:27:31Z2018-08-29T10:27:32ZComandline options for Terminal MP

Hey,
time passed and things changed.
Now there is the option [-P value] .

mpw [-u|-U full-name] [-m fd] [-t pw-type] [-P value] [-c counter][-a version] [-p purpose] [-C context] [-f|F format] [-R 0|1][-v|-q] [-h] [site-name]

According to the help I can use it to set the site's login name.

-P value The parameter value.
-p i | The login name for the site.
-t K | The bit size of the key to generate (eg. 256).
-t P | The personal password to encrypt.

However, when I check the .mpsites file, the login name is not stored.

If I'd like the name to be stored, what parameters do I need to change?

Tobitag:help.masterpassword.app,2014-09-03:Comment/392196112018-08-29T13:55:09Z2018-08-29T13:55:24ZComandline options for Terminal MP

mpw -pi -tP -P "myname" mysite.com

-pi
switches to identify mode (= "login name")

-tP
tells it to use a "personal" (= "stored") value for this

-P <value>
tells it to use the parameter
<value>
for the type

Maarten Billemont
