Master Password won't open

I have been using the App for at least 6 months without any problem, but now it refuses to open. When I try to start the app I see the three dots pop up for a second on the menu bar but then disappear. What could be causing this? I didn't do any updates or changed anything in the security setup.
I am on a MacBookPro 2015, OSX High Sierra 10.12.6

    Hi Max,

I'm unsure what could be causing your issue. You could try deleting the app and re-downloading it from the website.

If your issues persist, know that you can always get your passwords through:

    Hi Maarten,

thank you for your answer, I downloaded the App again and I get the same result, the three dots pop up for a second and then disappear.
Under which name does the App show up in the Activity Monitor?

I am having the exact same issue with my app as well. When I try to open the app, the dots appear briefly and disappear before I can click them to open the password screen. Any news on resolution of this issue?

In my case, a previous crash prohibits further runs:

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** setObjectForKey: object cannot be nil (key: https://settings.crashlytics.com/spi/v2/platforms/mac/apps/com.lyndir.lhunath.MasterPassword.Mac/settings? ...

Probably there is a way to recover from this - but how?

I am having the same problem. It started when I upgraded to Sierra (10.12.6) was working fine before then!

Same issue, you go to open Master Password, the logo appears on the top bar for a second or so and then disappears and doesn't open. Most frustrating!

App still working fine on my phone and I can use the web based version as back up, it was just really useful to have the saved list of sites on the desktop.

Any news on when/if this can be fixed?

I am having the same issue! And the website login does not help the issue nor does using the phone app as I am using the additional security questions for saved logins, which can't be accessed from the app or the website.

Fix it now!!! Please. I am trying to do my fucking taxes.

Maybe as a Tipp for those that also have the problem: since the App stopped working I started using the command line version. It has all the features included in the other app except the list of saved websites. I'm quite happy with it, I may like it even more than the other app.

Any resolution to this? also facing the same issue and am using OS 10.12.6 it was working earlier this week but I exported my sites and now it won't open. Any suggestions? In the middle of installing the cli prereqs so I can try the cli to get around this issue, but it would be easier if I could just open the app. Thanks!

This should all be resolved in the current App Store version of the app.
