Cannot install

Hi, I seem to be having an issue with installing the terminal version of MP onto my ubuntu-based laptop. I extracted the file, ran "bash install" after using cd to move into the folder I extracted to, but it quits at line 5 saying "No a directory." Anything I'm doing wrong? There don't seem to be any instructions for how to install.

Additionally, I can't seem to install the terminal version as an app, it just exists as a file I have to navigate to in order to run, rather than use the launcher built-in to xfce. All I did for that was download the file and made it executable. Did I do anything wrong there either?
