LOST ALL MY PASSWORDS, PLEASE HELP!!
Hi,
I've reset my phone and all my passwords from the app are gone. I have access to my account though so when I enter my "Master Password" everything is fine, nevertheless, the passwords aren't there anymore.
How could I have them back? I really need them..
Thanks a lot for any help!!

You cannot lose your passwords with Master Password.
If a site's password is no longer showing, just add the site back and the password will re-appear, provided you used the right name and master password to create your account.

But what if I can’t recall the name of the site cause, for instead, I didn’t write “hotmail account” but instead something else, there’s no way I can have access to the “sites” I wrote?

That would be a problem. This is why we recommend to always, always use the bare domain name of a site, eg. apple.com, facebook.com, microsoft.com, etc. That way, there is nothing to remember.
If you cannot recover your passwords because you cannot remember one of the givens, you will need to reset your passwords using your email address or whatever password reset mechanisms your site provides you.

I see. Many thanks.
However, I suggest this being better explained cause I never read anything about that recommendation. Nevertheless I’ll keep that in mind for next times.
Thanks again,

I use the format
${bare_domain_name}\${site_username}
. That's because on some sites my username is also something like a handle, so I don't want to use a generated username. Also because I have multiple accounts on some sites. I feel like the "correct" way to do things would be to have a separate mpw identity for each online identity; maybe I'll switch to that some day...Support Staff 6 Posted by Maarten Billemo... on 05 Aug, 2016 03:36 PM
I recommend using the format
[username]@[domain name]
for your site name instead. It follows the URN standard and will integrate nicely once I get around to creating UI integration for this feature.7 Posted by Stephen Michel on 06 Aug, 2016 03:15 AM
I was going to do that, but autocompletion starts immediately if the domain comes first. I could use bare domain names for sites where a specific username is not important and your format for when it is, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a standardized format.
But maybe most people don't care about saving 10 keystrokes.. *shrugs*

Auto-complete should now complete sites even if their name doesn't begin with the letters you type.

This is not working for me in the java version on Fedora 24.
