<p>Can you tap the settings icon on the bottom-right of the site
there, and<br>
screenshot that for me? Also, you're running the latest version,
right?</p>
<p>Cheers!</p></div>Maarten Billemonttag:help.masterpassword.app,2014-09-03:Comment/355756282014-12-18T14:33:20Z2014-12-18T14:33:20ZJava desktop GUI changed and old and new gives different password!<div><p>Oh, one more question, can you also mention what master password
you used<br>

<p>It should be the latest version, no updates were available.</p></div>Mikkotag:help.masterpassword.app,2014-09-03:Comment/355756282014-12-18T15:05:30Z2014-12-18T15:05:30ZJava desktop GUI changed and old and new gives different password!<div><p>Thanks. You can track the issue here:<br>

I want to remind that the password is also different in
same platform, but in different Java gui versions. I don't know the
version number of those, but the earlier was downloaded 15.12.
2014.</p></div>Mikkotag:help.masterpassword.app,2014-09-03:Comment/355756282014-12-18T15:24:52Z2014-12-18T15:24:52ZJava desktop GUI changed and old and new gives different password!<div><p>Correct. In fact, Java is really very much a platform in itself.
It<br>
creates a virtual platform that is then behind the scenes
translated to<br>
your platform.</p>
<p>Regardless, Java now agrees with the native C code, but the
iPhone and Mac<br>
versions don't. Most likely, the iPhone and Mac versions are still
doing<br>
something buggy with respect to multibyte characters (such as the
ä), which<br>
would of course be bad news since it would mean you'll have to
update all<br>
of your passwords once the fix is ready. Leaving the bug in or<br>
implementing the bug in all other platforms too is not an option
:-)</p></div>Maarten Billemonttag:help.masterpassword.app,2014-09-03:Comment/355756282014-12-20T18:41:06Z2014-12-20T18:41:10ZJava desktop GUI changed and old and new gives different password!<div><p>I got the same problem with a username that contains
"ü".</p>
<p>Iphone app and the old dektop java program create the same
password, the new desktop version creates a different one.</p>
<p>It will be a very bad news, if the new version creates the
"correct" passwords...</p>

iPhone and Mac versions already have an optional upgrade path
built-in where the apps keep generating the old passwords but have
a button telling you that the password needs to be upgraded. The
Java GUI currently doesn't have this logic.</p></div>Maarten Billemonttag:help.masterpassword.app,2014-09-03:Comment/355756282015-03-30T18:55:59Z2015-03-30T18:55:59ZJava desktop GUI changed and old and new gives different password!<div><p>Hi,</p>
<p>I can't find the option in the Mac or iPhone to change the
password version to "V3" as the Java GUI has now. When the Apple
softwares are going to be updated to have the correct password
output? I have now 2.1.88 in iPhone but I can't find the version
from Mac.</p>
