I thought the whole thing about this app was that no matter what if you sign in the passwords are exactly the same.
whatever I start on my phone app doesn't transfer to my desktop and vice versa... what good is this if its not consistent?
how can I make the same information appear on all devices?

Any site that you add on your iPhone should show you the same password as when you add it on your Mac. Is this not what you are experiencing?

Please note that Master Password does not send your sites over the internet. Adding a site on one device does not cause it to automatically appear on other devices. We intentionally do not send sites across the internet. But when you add it yourself on the other device, it should immediately show the exact same password.

I repeat, Master Password does not send your sites over the internet. Adding a site on one device does not cause it to automatically appear on other devices.

If you ADD a site on your iPhone, it will not show up on your Mac. But if you then ADD it on your Mac, the passwords will be the same.

Master Password is not a traditional password manager. If you want that, please find one of the many password vaults out there.
The purpose of Master Password is to stop saving and sending passwords and account information over the internet because it is not a safe thing to do. Instead, if you want a password on your Mac, all you need to do is just add the site you want and the password will immediately be correct, without any syncing.

I was having the same issue on my phone and Mac.
The passwords *are* the same on different devices, but you need to make sure the password types are the same.

Yes, in order for the passwords to show up the same on both devices, you will need to add a site yourself on both devices, and make sure the following are the same:

    1. The name of the site
    2. The type of the site (defaults to "long")
    3. The counter of the site (defaults to 1)
    4. The algorithm version of the site (defaults to v3)

Unless you have made manual changes to [2], [3], or [4], you should be fine just adding the site with the correct [1].

    Thanks for your contribution, Toby.
